- Former principal of Govt. Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Bangalore
- Former principal of Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Chandigarh.
Apart from this he has held many clinical and academic positions. He was member of the Advisory Committee of the Directorate of the Indian system of Medicine and Homeopathy, Academic council member of the Bangalore University, Chairman, Board of Studies, Bangalore University, Medical Inspector for the Central Council of Homeopathy, New Delhi etc.
Dr. Patel has been an inspiration for many students to practice Classical Homeopathy. He is a guide to the M.D. Students (Orissa) and is an examiner to many universities. He has students spread all over India and abroad. He is actively involved with many National and International Medical and Social Organizations. He is a linguist, environmentalist and research minded. Professional.
